a reply button, a simply button under the post, and when u click it u reply without quoting the message

can anyone do this pls i would be sooo grateful, i will build a shrine to heaven in your honor and ask god to step aside and give u his chair at the throne

what i mean is a normal reply button and when u click it, u go to a reply screen that has NO QUOTE

just copy the url from the button in the template?

i want it to do the exact same thing as it does when u click "quote" button, or at this site when u click the reply button, EXCEPT i dont want it to quote the private message

i dont want the quote button removed, i want a seperate button put at the bottom of the private message called reply (on the left hand side) like it was in vb2

if i knew how i would do it myself, but i dont

Just a template mod. :)

You can strip all the quotes except the last reply by just appending &stripquote=1 to the end of the url

i.e. ..../private.php?do=newpm&pmid=nnnn&stripquote=1

To stop any quotes at all requires a small code change in private.php ;


Find ;

eval('$pm[message] = "' . fetch_template('newpost_quote', 1, 0) . '";');


and replace with ;

$pm[message] = "";

right i want to be able to have a button that says reply and when i click it doesnt produce a quote
