Help --> I keep getting hacked
 

Hiya

My forum is the target of something strange. I have lots registering, but its all spam.

i have profiles like "Bored code visible this site is very insecure"

board code ? how is that visible

i keep getting messages that the person is in an i.p manufacturin place as i keep banning i.ps

i dont know what to do its getting to me, i've closed the forum to new members and i dont want to do that

try ip banning him from the entire server?

been in contact with my hosters but they cant do anything, its not a static address either it keeps changing

any other ideas ?

first I'd set that they need to confirm their email before they can post, or see anything. As well have a unique email per user.

That would at least slow them down.

Then list what hacks you have installed... one of them probably has a bug.

setup the image verification per new registrations.. make sure accounts have to be activated before allowing anyone to post.. if the IP range is something that is all in the same subnet, ban that entire subnet temporarily..

I had a bot hit my forum the other day... rather than ban them, they got moved into the miserable users group. I only wish I couldve seen the frustration as the bot slowed to a crawl.
