How to: Hiding HTML Pages behind vBulletin Login?

I'm looking for instructions on how to do this. Say I want to add the login/password dialogues on a non vB home main page, and have certain files/directories of the site viewable only to those who have logged in to the board.

How do I go about doing this?

at the top of those html pages add the lines

I think you have to change your base directory before including global.php, so I added that in. Also, rename all pages to .php :)
