ReReview muscle-mustangs.com

We just switched over to a new 2.4Ghz server located at the planet datacenter. So the site loads much faster now. I know a lot of you said that was the number 1 drawback to my site the last time you guys reviewed it.

Anywase, it has a new site and forum design. I have 3 links to fix on the right sides of the pages and only the forums button on the main page works. The forums button on the subpages don't work right now. Thats the only problem I can find with it now. Anywase, please give me some feedback on the site.

Thanks,

Yes, it does run much faster. Good job. :)

Yes, much faster!

I suggest using a different scheme to the default one, though.

Thanks, What do you mean by different scheme to the default one? Do you mean different colors or a different design?

This is really starting to bug me a little lol. I think the main page of my forum looks a little unorganized or cluttered. I'm not sure if its the color scheme on the boards or just to many uncombined sections, or what. Could someone maybe make some suggesitons on that and if I should change any colors on the board. Not the background, just the stock VB colors, or if I should combine/add forums in?

Any thoughts would be great!

You can tell your a car guy :)

I would add a few line breaks at the top under the "Latest Members Uploads" and the intro. And remove one of the ones under the Navbar. It looks like you need to zero out your margins as well.

It looks like it's coming along pretty good.

  1. muscle-mustangs - great name--lousy header.
  2. You need a layout / header that screams excitement, fast, muscle, etc.
  3. On your main page
    1. Replace the Mambo favicon
    2. Section headers are unreadable (no contrast in colors) -- viewing in Firefox
    3. Is your site about web site updates or latest ford news? Place the "web-site updates" block somewhere else and move "The Latest Ford News" block upward ... give your visitors what they want
    4. Why blue on your navigation? Why use images when you can do the same with CSS?
    5. Your navigation ALT and TITLE attributes needs fixing
    6. Oh yea, I almost forgot ... use formatting on your front page and scanning the page will be easier for your visitors
I won't say anything about your Forums as it hasn't changed from default.

Not sure what you mean on some of those questions?? I updated the header image yesterday. The one I had a few days ago was way to detailed. Now its nice, simple, and straight to the point :) Are you talking about the blue section headers on the main page (2) I think I'm going to be taking those down. When I viewed it in netscape, they were 3X larder than their supposed to be and the text was the same color as the background. I think I will move the updates somewhere not as noticable so users can see the main stuff they came to my site for.

As for the CCS, I'm not sure what that is or how to use it. The buttons are actually not working yet. When you go over them, their supposed to change to red. Plus I like the buttons, I don't really like when I go to sites and see all text links. Looks to plain IMO.

Anywase, I updated my entire forum design now! I think it looks alot cleaner!
