Restrict New Topic unless Forum Name in profile
 

Hi, I was PM on the official forum to post this here

This is a strange request and I don't mind if it's not possible. My forums are like people placing adverts. Each forum is named after a region that somone may live.

I have the all the regions as a required selectable fields in the profile when signing up.

Is there an easy way for an auto check that the foum they are trying to start a new topic into, matches the region that they live in the profile? they would still need to reply to topics in other forums but only create in their allocated region.

At present my admin will have to make sure they have posted only in their region.

I have a long list of forums and was hoping there is an easy way or would i need a hack request? I can't do it but it appears just a simple check process.

would be best in the Service Requests forum since this is a very custom mod and no one else would probably want something like this
