Irc Shoutbox?
 

Im not sure of how difficult a hack this would be but I think it would be useful for all those IRC lovers, but a small inline chat on the forum home that connects quicly to your channel, it wouldnt even need a list of whos connected as this could be acomplished threw an eggdrop, just a few lines of chat, plus an imput bar.

The idea would be to make it low key, and to act as part of the website, almost exactly like a shoutbox just with it connected to IRC.
