Pixeladdiction.com -- contest site
 

Hi folks,

We just opened our place up. It's coded around the core vBulletin package but as you'll see we've added quite a bit. Also created a custom style.

The basic focus of the site are contests. Contests for photo manipulation, digital illustration and photography. We also have a gallery area for members to simply post image galleries. A custom Tutorial section which I'm trying to load up with some decent, unusual Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and other software tutorials. (And of course we have the v3 arcade for minor diversions.)

The site is built around the vBulletin 3.0.3 core with the addition of Photopost and a couple custom coded sections. More integration between these modules is planned.

I like the style. Nice and clean, easy on the eyes. Loads fast as hell. A good example of a nice clean skin without the bloat to slow it down. I wanted to see the postbit and what you did with it, but, couldn't see it unless I register. I won't register at any site unless I plan to become an active member.

Here it is.. althouth it's a vertical tempalte, it's not the legacy postbit. It's the standard vb postbit that's been altered to remove all the superfluous information.

Yea it does load fast. Thats all I care about :)

The only criticism I have is the word 'pixel' in your site. The idea is overused these days :) I like your postbit style btw ;)

The only criticism I have is that pixeladdiction.com appears to be a complete rip-off of Worth1000.com (http://www.worth1000.com).

If you've spent any time at worth.. you would understand what's wrong with that place and why a better community could be a much better place to play. We're a much better group of people than Worth has and we're far more friendly than the administrative staff there. www.pixeladdiction.com is a much better place. We aren't a rip off, we are similar but there are also many differences between the sites.
