Disallow guests to view forum threads

Is there a hack which when a guest clicks on a forum to view the threads inside, it requires them to login before they see or read threads and it also keeps the thread and post count the same instead of them going to 0 and it also has 'private' were the thread name would be on the forum index?

If not, could someone please make me one as this would be really appreciated!!! Thanks.

Yeah there is a post for this over a vbulletin.com..just do a search..it's really simple I did it about a week ago...;)
