How can I customize the "wrap" in the post-bit information?

When I use the '<td nowrap="nowrap">' command in the template, extended text (for example, long member replies to the "Location" field; which I don't mind) tends to go all the way across the screen and stretch the whole page out; and when I delete that (<td nowrap="nowrap">) command (from the template), the text wraps too soon.

Is there any way for me to tell it to wrap only after a certain amount of characters or space?

By the way, it's not long words I'm talking about. It's long sentences (composed of short words).

See, when I said "extended text" in the first post of this thread, I meant normal sentences that run too long (for example; a member typing "Jane likes to go out to wild dance-clubs at night; but please don't tell her I told you that, because she might beat me up."); not individual words that run too long (for example; a member typing "lolololololololololololololololololololololololol ololololololololololololololol olol" (< without the break).

I just retested it before making this reply; and you can see for yourself by putting a long sentence (composed of normal-lengthed words) in your "Location" field on the official vbulletin community forum (which isn't on Legacy view), then watch how it stretches all the way across to your "big user-name" and also stretches out the whole screen. Then, go to a vb3 board that is on Legacy view, type the same sentence in your "Location" field and watch how it wraps (goes down to the next line) automatically when it reaches the border (instead of just stretching it out).

Also keep in mind that, in order for that test to work, you must have the '<td nowrap="nowrap">' command in the "postbit" template. The problem is that when you don't have that command in there (when you delete it), the sentence then wraps too soon when it isn't on Legacy view; because there is no border to "stop" it or make it wrap automatically after a normal amount of characters (as opposed to too many or too few).

I hope you're understanding all this.
