How To Switch Post Icons in Each Styleset
One of the oddest things about vbulletin 3.0.x is that it allows you to change the directory of all your icons except the post icons within each styleset. I and a few others have requested hacks around this but none have came
Well, I found a work around - the replacement variables editor. Code:
Find: images/icons/ |
Little but usefull :)
You can do so with smilies as well. |
Thanks for sharing the little tip ;)

i was looking at this and it says you can change the smilies path but i can't seem to find it, i'm running 3.0.1. do i change the .xml or is it in the admin panel? as i looked and the smiles in the admin panel shows the default folder and i can't change it for any of the skins because i want my members to choose

you have to set up a replacement in the acp.
it won't change the smilielisting in the acp, but it will display different (just different looking of course, no different shortcuts) smilies in different styles |

Also, do I still need to load the icons into via the icon manager? When I do this it just adds the icons into the orginal choices. I have also installed the Filter threads by post icon hack. Could this be messing something up? Two templates in that hack were altered, forumsdisplay and threadbit, and also one file; forumsdisplay.php Any ideas? |
