Problem Resolved
 
Hiya,

I'm looking for something for a support forum. Someone starts a thread and asks for some technical help. Once the problem is resolved or answered to satisfaction the user can then click on Resolved and it would then lock the thread and show a resolved graphic. It would have to allow only the poster and admin or mod to mark Resolved. Anything like this been done or can it? Oh yeah, this would also have to be able to be limited to certain forums specified.

I think it can already be done with permissions, but i am not entliry sure

You could have a forum where users were able to close their own topics, and have a conditional in the forumdisplay/viewthread templates along the lines of <if condition=$forum[forumid]=XXX> *show resolved icon* </else> *show normal Closed icon* </if>

I think.

It's half past 1 in the morning here, so I could be waaay off base. :)
