Inject specified value into every user's profile field?

I was wondering if there was a way to inject a specific value into every user's profile via SQL?

I'm using vB3 and have created a new user profile field, with a default value, only problem is only new users have this default value. If someone is able to help me out I'd be more than appreciative.

Code:

UPDATE userfield SET fieldx = 'value'

Change fieldx to whatever the fieldname actually is. e.g. field4.
Change value to whatever value.

Or change only those values from users registered before a certain date:

UPDATE userfield SET fieldx = 'value' 

WHERE user.registered < UNIX_TIMESTAMP(yyyymmdd) 

LEFT JOIN user USING (userid)

Nevermind, everything I was trying to achieve has been done through a single conditional. For anyone wondering I'm basically just allowing my users to specify what they 'collect', rather than having 'Posts'. So a word my users assign is used in the postbit to precede their postcount. :)
