Importing Threads vB2 > vB3

I took a snapshot of my vB2.x installation and upgraded it to vB3.0.1 so I could continue to develop on the forum whilst my other members still had access to the other forum.

Is there a way to transfer / import posts that have been created since a certain date on the old forum in vB2 to the new in vB3.

I'm willing to pay someone for a solution.

Not without re-upgrading. You've obviously already edited the database etc. Best way to do is close it down for 5 minutes and actually do it. It doesn't take that long at all.

Thx for the answer pie.

Unfortunately as I was saying, I needed to do extensive work on the website and now the snapshot of the database that I took and developed upon has all that work integrated.

If I simply upgrade the old website, I will loose all of the hacks etc. that I spent a number of weeks doing in the background on a different server.

Not so true, the files will not be gone, and that is where 99% of the time, the extensive work goes. :)

True, there are obviously a lot of file modifications, but there is also a 'lot' of database modifications too. New tables are easy, they can be exported and imported, but tables that have been altered are more tricky. I'd have to compare the databases.

Is there no other way?

Same problem here.

I upgraded from 2.2.9 to vB 3.0.1 in a beta test root, using data migrated at a certain date.

Then I installed lot of hacks, heavily altering
1) tables,
2) PHP files
3) scripts
4) templates.

3-4 weeks have passed and I have 15'000 posts added in the old forum 2.2.9, new users etc.

Here the dilemma:
Can I keep most of the 98 beta test vB3 tables, clearing and re-importing only data of the following tables (I suppose all the increased tables)?
