SEARCH: My Conversations

PROBLEM: A user comes back to the forum after posting several messages the previous day. It is quite burdensome to find who has responded to any of his posts.

================================================== ==

SOLUTION: Need one-click search (on QuickLinks?) to generate a list of:

1 - all posts made by the user (similar to existing functionality)
plus
2 - all responses (made via the [QUOTE] button) to the user's posts.

This will provide each member a one-click list of all posts that reference him. List should be sortable via post time, poster, thread, etc.

For completeness, the list should include Threads started by the user.

Thanks for your kind attention.

p.s., I searched all existing hacks (vB3) and did not see anything similar. If you know of something, please let me know via PM or a post to this thread.

No, not really. My experience is that subscriptions operate at the thread level. Subscribers would see ALL the traffic on that thread. That's overkill. I'm interested in only those members talking to me. I don't particularly want to listen to every conversation on a thread. Nor do I want to wade through a lot of threads and conversations to see if any posts are directed my way.

In a sense I'm looking for a subscription service at the post level. But more than that, I want it to be automatic. I want one-click access to my posts and everyone that has responded (via the "Quote" button) to my posts.
