Username/login hack request

Hello,
I have been looking through the forums for a hack that will allow you to have a seperate login hame from the displayed name on the forums. anyone seen one of these floating around.........?

Check over at vb.com .... I think one of the staff gave some info on how to do this by using a custom field.
