Hey there, I would love some feedback on my site, as well as some ways to increase traffic.

Design:

You haven't really done anything to it. I suggest first making your own color scheme. I notice you use orange, which doesn't match with the default blue scheme, but if you made your scheme based around orange and maybe grey, you can get some good results.

You are also starting off with too many forums. Condense it down to about 10 forums and add more when you get more members. Less forums makes your forum more appealing to guests.

The Orange scheme came about when I was trying to make the new version look like the old verson, which ran off phpbb. Frankly, I think the blue ond orange look good, especially with the logo in there.

Now, with the forums...I had the same problem at first, there were a lot of forums...and quite a few people said that there were to many. Well, after 2 weeks, we had at least 5 threads in each forum, and growing.

Alot of sections for a new forum, sorry just seems very large based for no one home as of yet.

Usually it seems start with less so easier to find then branch off.

As for look, it is stock vb.. so not much to comment on.

well, while we're on the topic of hacks...what hacks would go well with this forum?

When I used phpbb, I hacked the thing to death...I would like to do that again

Maybe vbgarage or a photo album for everyones pets?

I think a little more work in the graphix dept would go a long way and I agree with the earlier comment about the orange thrown in. It can work with blue just not the vb stock blue on there.

Perhaps you should add a front page? You can include content like dog of the month or member interviews or doggie news and more.

Add hacks that would benefit your community, like as Reeve said a photo album would go with a site that would have frequent displaying of images etc.
