Dreamweaver and hacking
Why does it mess up vbulletin files like it does?
I've been using Dreamweaver for over 3 years and never had a problem with it before (except the odd table layout stuff) Can it be configured to be a useful hacking tool for VB? I'm currently using mx2004 - would an older version be better? If not are there any other text editors that have a find and replace toll as good as that one (ie multiple lines) ? |
Notepad is good but I use EditPlus 2. I like it the best out of all of them. It has built-in FTP support and does just about anything. ;)

What is the find and replace tool like on editplus like? ~ the thing with dreamweaver is that it supports multiple lines of text ... makes life a lot easier.
|
EditPlus also has this in the more box right underneath the single line search and replace. That's another reason I really like it. I do all of my hack installs and editing with editPlus 2.

Looking at the evaluation version right now ... seems like it might be just what I'm after
Thanks for that :) |

It may not be perfect, but it is the cloeset thing I've found to perfection as far as an all around text and coding file editor. ;) |
I've only had problems using dreamweaver with the functions.php file. If you open it up in text pad, it comes out garbled looking. I think thats because it was saved in unix format - at least as near as I can tell.
I've been using syn-edit though but will have to try out this other proggy. |
