Digital Designs

Nothing special here but would still like some opinions on what I could do to improve etc...

looks good, but feels too much like vB for a design community for me :nervous:

Yep, it's not very unique at all.

Thus, it'll be hard to attract new members, since there are so many other forums out there alike.

If it's a design forum, I suggest giving it a really wicked design (sounds like a no brainer ;) ). People should be convinced its all about design from their first visit.

Just don't install some "trendwhor3" design, as they're called, seen so often around the web.
e.g. http://digital-forums.com/ (no offensive to the forum or members, I'm only speaking on behalf of its style)

A profession design like this is nice:

(rounded corners always bring about attention)

About all the advice I can give. ;)

I have to agree. It looks like your target community is going to be younger. Id try and get crazy with it. A forum like that is a dime a dozen. To seperate yourself fom the herd you ought to try a few bucks into go crazy with it. Come up with weet header/navbar that has the menu integrated. From therethe rest of the page will fll into place.

just my thoughts.

Have to agree with the guys above, make it more obvious that your site's concept is design by giving it something more unique and special.

I am currently designing a new skin, the one on there at the moment is just for now.

Thanks for your comments, more on the new site would be great. :)

Yes it is but I would rather have a paid for skin to get me by rather than the default untill I have finished my own. :)
