Descriptive ALT and TITLE text for smilies - accessibility guaranteed!
[originally from this vB2 hack]
Quote:
Instructions are attached - it works (almost exactly the same) and looks exactly the same as the old one - I expanded it to store the smilietext in both alt and title elements so that browsers that use either alt or title as the tooltip will show the same information ... (and so that the smilies would be valid under accessibility guidelines with something in alt text ;) ;) nudge nudge saynomore :D) HTH people... Q: How is this diferent from current behaviour? A: Currently vB3 shows the description of the smilie, not the text used to render the smilie (which I find more helpful) - another option would be to have both! [this shall be left as an excercise for the reader ;) :p @ Bob] |
Was that Bob directed at me, by chance? ;)
Nice little hack. Thank you, sir. ;) |
