Name Badge Hack
 

This should be fairly simple. I'm working on modifying the member.php script to do it, but I'm afraid I'm making it more complicated than it needs to be. All I need is a script that will pull up a template where I can use HTML to create a namebadge for my members. Our members have local meetings and it would be great if they could print out pre-designed name badge to bring to the meetings. About a dozen of us are meeting next week at a trade show, so really fast help would be appreciated (and rewarded if need-be :)).

So, there would be a link to "Create Name-badge" in their User CP, which would go to namebadge.php. I just need to be able to create the template using their profile information. Using variables in the template I can make any kind of name badge. They print it out and bring it with them. I'll provide a little name badge holder when they get there.

I've attached a sample of what it would look like. It would be cool to include arcade awards as well. For sure I need all of the standard profile info, user fields, signature and avatar.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'll be playing around with member.php in the meantime.

BTW, I'll create the template and template mods if someone else can create the script. I'll name the template namebadge.

Okay, I've pulled it off. I made a copy of member.php and made some modifications (mainly to call different templates), added 2 templates and modified the USERCP_SHELL template.

Screen shots are attached. Is this worth a full hack release? Are there any license issues with altering a copy of one of the vB scripts?
