ICQ notification
 

Hello,

i am a little bit confused at the moment and i hope some people will be able to help me here.

I am currently running V3.0.0 after upgrading from V2.3.4. I had 57 hacks installed and now i installed round about 10 hacks on V3.0.0. It runs perfect.

BUT

During configuring some users through my admin panel i found the option "instant ICQ notification" just below "instant email notification" for subscriptions. I have never seen this before. I tried to activate it for me and i posted. Another uses answered and i received ... nothing. :ermm:

Is this a test implementation ? Because "normal" users can not configure it in their options.

Any help is highly appreciated because this would be a very nice add-on feature. :devious:

I don't think that works..... well last time i checked it didn't work and everything bounced back.

Where exactly is this option? Is it for thread or paid subscriptions? ICQ notification for threads was in vB3's betas but was gone by Gamma (I don't know why).

Hi NTLDR,

click on usermanager and choose one user. Then scroll down to "automatic thread subscription mode". I have 6 options in there and one of them is ICQ notification.

This would be a great feature if it would be available.

You should report this in the bug tracker at vB.com, that option shouldn't be there. If you have one of the beta's for vB3 you'd be able to add it back in assuming it ever worked in the first place (I guess it had problems which is why it was removed, however you should really ask at vB.com).

Thanks. I will go for it and i will report what they will tell me. But i am using 3.0.0 so it should not be there any more. Right ?

ICQ notification was removed in Gamma (or before) in the front-end so you shouldn't still see the option in the ACP.
