User profile/avatar/sig/title permission hack
 

I remember vb2 had a hack where you could set whether a user can change their avatar, title or signature. I can't for the life of me find the hack for vb3 despite searching over and over.

On my forum we want to start using reputation like currency. For 1000 rep you can change someone else's avatar (and they can't change it back till they cough up 1000 rep or remove the lockdown for 1200 rep). Or change someone's title, or sig. Or add new smilies or change forum names. Now, most of the stuff is easy. Someone posts what they want to do, I subtract their rep and make a change. Unfortunately, I can't limit a user from changing his avatar, title or sig without locking down their entire profile and options. I just want to lock them out of one particular function (like avatar).

Is there a hack for vb3 that allows the admins to specify if a user can or cannot change their avatar, title, sig or any combination of the three.

ushop is the hack you are looking for
however it would need an addon to it for it to be able to do the things you describe and yes i'd also like those addons for ushop

u can edit those permissions in the usergroup settings in admincp
