site terms and privacy question

Ok, i found a site out there that had a great TOS and privacy statement. Now my site is a small non-profit site, and I was thinking I could edit these terms and privacy statement I found and use them. Am I playing with fire here? What's the worst that could happen if this site finds I am using part of their forms? Could I play dumb and say "sorry I found it on the net somewhere, had no idea it was yours, and will take it down immediately", or can they grill me? Am I being overly paranoid?

probably being over-paranoid

Privacy policy is almost the same everywhere.. In fact, do a quick search and you will find sites that, after filling in a bit of info on a form, will generate you a privacy policy.. eTrust, I believe, is the main one.. They do a very nice privacy policy.

as for terms of service, you should do that on your own. However, taking one off of another site and modifying it to fit your own sites needs is not that uncommon..

You wouldn't have a link for the place that does the privacy statements, would you? ;)

I see eTrust now makes you go through all kinds of crap to do a privacy policy.. Here are a couple of links to interesting sites..

There are a million of the generator deals out there.. just search for "Privacy Policy Generators" on Google or which ever search engine you prefer..
