Does 3.0.1 have any good hacks?

I am considering purchasing vb3.0.1. But one of the main reasons I have not is that I want to run an image gallery like 4images (preferably) or Coppermine. But it seems as these do not yet support 3.0.1. Or do they? If not is it possible to buy 3.0.0? Any insight greatly appreciated.

Virtually any hack written for 3.0.0 will work in 3.0.1.

I read thru alllll the posts and it seems if no one really got it working on 3.0.1 and barely on 3.0.0. Could you verify if it works on 3.0.1 or am I able to buy 3.0.0?

You cannot buy and older version of vb.

You have to use 3.0.1 if you purchase now.

But as filburt already said, the vast majority of hacks will work on vb301 as well, as there weren't much changes.

For example 100% of vb.org's hacks did work after the upgrade

I just want to make sure that the main one that I am after works on the new version which is one of the image galleries? Either coppermine and or 4images. Does anyone know if either of those work before I buy it? It really is imperative that I have the gallery as it will be a major part of my board.

Both coppermine and 4images work but integration of them into vB3 is all that is available at the moment. With a little work and tinkering you can get either one to do what you want it to do. I say go ahead and get vB3 because it's the best bulletin board available(IMO)!

Yeah I know the integrity of the product is outstanding. I have set these up for other clients but this particular client has to have the image gallery. And since I cannot post questions about this in the appropriate forum (the 4images thread). I was hoping that someone can confirm that the integration works. Soon as I hear that I am off to buy it (well the client is).
