vBulletin - Cookieless?
 

I want to know if theres an easy/possible way of having vBulletin without cookies. My reason for asking is because I've seen it operate and it doesn't seem to be easy to have cookie timeouts, so when a user logs into a forum, anyone on that computer could log in as them later.This is just my perspective, could someone please correct me if able.

vB uses cookies where possible. It should be a small change to make it so that people can't be remembered so when there browsers session ends so does the forums.

Is there any configuration settings to make something like that possible, or are you talking about code modification? And if code modification is needed is it possible you could tell me about how much code change would be needed I would greatly appreciate it.

With vB3, 2 or three template edits, with vB2 IIRC 2 template edits.

A co-worker of mine has a copy of vBulletin 2...is it possible you could tell me which templates would need modification so I could examine the code to see if I can handle this task before buying it myself?

1. you would be much better off going with vBulletin 3 and making your template edits

2. no one can give you their vBulletin files for any reason to use.

I wasn't asking to be given any files, just some help as to which files I'll need to modify.

The main reason I asked is because the last time I looked at the vBulletin code it seemed like the cookie issue was seeded pretty much through all the pages. So I would appreciate some help identifying the main source that needs to be changed.
