FAQ Manager

Hi Guys

I am not sure if this would qualify as a hack or not but I would like for the FAQ Edit manager to be available on the Moderators Control panel. Has anyone either done this or does know how to accomplish it please?

Same question. Is there somekind of hack already?

Hi KilIsparer
I wouldn't hold your breath, I posted last April on this:D

LOL, this feature is built into VB. By default, FAQ is right under Languages in the ACP.

Double-LOL, read the first posting... if you can.

Hint: Notice the word "Moderator".

Sorry, didn't read your post. This *should* work.

Copy faq.php from admincp to modcp folder.

Open modcp/index.php

Find

Code:

// *************************************************
        if (can_moderate(0, 'canannounce'))
        {
                construct_nav_option($vbphrase['add_new_announcement'], 'announcement.php?do=add');
                construct_nav_option($vbphrase['forum_manager'], 'forum.php?do=modify');
                construct_nav_group($vbphrase['announcements']);
                construct_nav_spacer();
        }

After, add
Code:

// *************************************************
        {
                $printhr = true;
                construct_nav_option($vbphrase['faq_manager'], 'faq.php?null=0', '|');
                construct_nav_option($vbphrase['add_new_faq_item'], 'faq.php?do=add');
                construct_nav_group($vbphrase['faq']);
        }

Hope that works for you.
