mini-hack member stats request?
I was wondering if anyone could make the following:
the default is like this Members: 2,495, Threads: 9,963, Posts: 158,887 Welcome to our newest member, yomammy and change it to something like this Current Members: 2,495, Current Threads: 9,963, Current Posts: 158,887 Total Members: [total members registered ever], Total Threads: [total threads ever], Total Posts: [total posts ever] Welcome to our newest member, yomammy the idea behind it is this: we prune threads, and users, but we'd still like a record of the "totals." the total member count can be found by going to the newest member's profile and reading the number, but I have no idea how it'd be done for the "total posts" and "total threads" if anyone could make this I would REALLY REALLY appreciate it :ermm: |
I am trying to do one part of it myself but I am having trouble
I changed it to: Current Members: $numbermembers, Total Members: $newuserid but that outputs the number as "14969" I'd like "14,969" since I can't use php in templates (why can't I, anyway?) how would I achieve this? also: does anyone have any sort of tutorial for beginner vb hacking? I could never really find one... |
