Forum Sorting Order

Can somebody please make a hack that allows me to choose the order forums are sorted in on a "Per Forum" basis?

What I have is a category with 13 forums under it. I want something that allows me to have it automatically sort the forums by the amount of threads or replies in that category. I would like it to do this autmatically, rather than me to have to do it manually.

I understand that if I give all the forums the same display order number, it will sort them alphebetically. I need some categories to short this way, but other categories to sort by amount of threads and replies.

Ideas?

Let see if I understand corectly, you want to display your forums order, based on the total number of posts made in each forum, right?
So if in forum 23 you have 3 posts, but in forum 47 your 23, the first displayed forum will be 47, then after 23...

Basically all you have to do, is order it using the number of posts (yes it can be done), but that will mess the categories, as well the rest of the forums you probably don't want to order, because you cannot affect this only to a specific category, the function that take care of the orderingwon't let you do it.

That is absolutely correct, but I want to have the ability to turn it off on a category by category basis. In other words, I want one category to sory the forums normally and a different one (if I check the box) to sort this way.

Is there anyway around this?
