I don't know if any of you have seen the Journals on Xanga.com ... but they are REALLY nice. It comes with a shoutbox.. and it looks like a mini portal.

Each user has a shoutbox for their journal page... and can choose the color of their journal.

It would be great if vB could get a journal mod like this!! It would be one major hack.

we're all struggling trying to get a basic journal system mike, so an advanced one like this may prove to be a bit of trouble but on the note as the shoutbox thing, i'd be careful, everyone having their own shoutbox could lead to segregation within your community.
