Changing forum directory?

I'd like to change my forum directory on my server, but I don't know how. It's not as simple as moving it to the new directory, because all the old links in the forum still point to it's old directory.

I don't want to lose anything, so how do I go about moving/re-installing vB in another directory on my server?

Thanks!

log into your admin CP

Then
VBulletin Options

Then
Site Name / URL / Contact Details

Then all you have to do is change the Forum URL field :)

Just copy the entire VB install (folders and files) from the old directory to the new directory.

Any help?

You have to manually change the path for images in your admincp/style manger/all options.
Hope this helps!

EDIT: As far as your portal goes you have to change the path's for it as well. I had this problem and beat my head against the wall for about an hour, finally I figured out it was the url's!

Hmm, there is no beginning backslash at the image URLs, so changing the directory wouldn't matter there... or should it?

Some more help?

You have to change the url to the new directory for each one and include a forward slash at the beginning.

Thanks dude for your help. It actually turns out that I didn't have to even change my directory the start with. Just had to change the $forumhome variable.

Thanks for the help though. I really appreciate it!
