Guys, you think is useful to to have the Microstats installed for everyone (not only for admins) at vb.org? I released the version for VB3.

I also have a new portal system that is very query efficient, if you want to use it instead of the actual front page.

Let me know...

I don't see how it would be useful to normal members, or even moderators.

If you see that the normal average of MySQL usage is higher then 15%, something is wrong there, related to the performed queries... some hackers could find out what's wrong... Due to some pretty intense table scans.

That's how I see if the code is solid, when I release a hack. :)

I personally love this hack and IMO it is useful to regular members as well because when site/page is slow you can understand if it is server or your connection.

But I guess Stefan wont consider more hacking until we upgrade to gold.

I agree here, because once I had the microstats installed and I didn't notice that posts were generating a huge amount of queries and one of my members did and gave me a fix and it worked.

As for the Portal, nope sorry floren, but the one we use here is very query efficient, or better said it doesn't use any query apart from the one automatically executed by global.php

As for the microstats hack, i can think of it, but as Logician already said, not before we upgrade to gold :)
