MD5 Passwords for use in other website modules
 

Don't make fun of me. :nervous:

If I export the applicable fields from my vBulletin user table and dump them into another mySQL user table, say for a CMS, will the passwords for the user's account work for the new module?

if you are using vb2, then there is no problem

if you are using vb3, passwords are double hashed, then you may search around a bit, there was already a discussion, about how to work with vb3's passwords on other pages :)

I remember reading a thread about it, but I couldn't remember what the potential problem was. I'll search for double hash.
