I want to turn on IMG tags in all fora...
 
Can anyone help with the SQL query required ?

I'm sure it's a bitwise option change (I just can't find the value to subtract from the options field in the forum table) ...

Anyone help a tired Aussie ?

I think its $_FORUMOPTIONS['allowsmilie'] (or smilies) thats defined towards the end of init.php that has the value for it. I'm pretty sure its there but don't have a copy of it with me at the moment.

My reasoning says

Right ?

Well once I did the query - would I need to do anything else before it worked ?

You'll need to save at least one forum for it to rebuild the forumcache which may (or may not) store some of that info.
