PhpWiki Integration?

Has anyone worked to integrate vb 3.0 with PhpWiki?

I'd like to use PhpWiki but only have those who have registered in my vb 3.0 forums to modify/add to the wiki...

I'd be interested, too.

Even without the "anyone can edit" capability, if we could somehow integrate wiki's ability to use "wikiwords" into vB to allow the automatic creation of cross-referencing hyperlinks the result would be an incredibly powerful forum!

It would be awesome!

The only wiki-based forum I can find is TikiWiki which is a real beast to install. (Does anyone know of any other wiki-based forum systems?)

If vB were to do this, they could blow all of the competition clean out of the water. Wiki's are the "next big thing", I suspect.

I've gone back and tried working on this but it's been a pretty fruitless endeavor so far. All I want to do at this point is use vBulletin's user regisration to limit people who can modify the wiki to registered users.

Anyone have any experience with modifying PHP Wiki or other wikis?

I'll be taking a look at integrating this into my forum within the next month or so. I'll be sure to post back here. If you want to send me what you have done or discovered akiy it would be appreciated.

any news on this? As I'm currently considering the adition of a wiki to my site it would be useful for it to share the vbulletin member database using the groups system so you can specify "wiki editor" group users are the only ones allowed to add it.

I'm not overlly interested in a full integration where forum posts also link in, just a user database sharing.

Thanks

This is still on my task list. I'll post here when I get to it.

How does that compare with mediawiki (software that runs WikiPedia) I have been using it for almost six months now. Any double click on any word in my forum takes you to the wikipedia entry for that word, if it exists. But there is otherwise no real integration in user database or otherwise.

Matt
