i got my pioneer for 105 if that and that's dvd re-writer.

Yeah? Might have to check out my nearest PC World store. Most online shops I see with them they are around $70+ :(

If only it was a +/- drive it would be better.

I like the NEC 8x +/- DVDRW drive better. OEM (just the drive) at newegg is about $105.

I just bought the NEC 2500a from new egg last week, for $89. It hasn't burned a coaster yet :)
