Header advice - is this good?
 

Hello, just looking on some advice on how to improve this header, it's a little lame. I am o.k. at photoshop but not good at ideas, just asking for a little advice.

too bright for me, but that could be coz i'm on dark blue?

also to really judge i'd need to see a bit more of the skin.

I'd lower the height of the image as you have little content above or below the text. Also lower the opacity of the inverted text (which is meant to look like a reflection) and a very smooth layer mask edging the reflection out :) IMO ;)

100% agree.

Not a plug: look at the reflection of the title at http://www.webdesignforums.net/vbms/ : it slowly fades out and also starts at a very low opacity. It gives it more of a glass-like look.

WOW you guys are genious. It looks a lot better now. What do ya think?? It took me a while because I was trying to create little dice beside volvinet but that didnt work out dice are hard to draw >_<

the subtext/description should be aligned to the right in my opinion, also i would opt for a font like Century Gothic personally.

Ok I changed the font, made the line larger and fade out and added an outer glow from the description text, whadya think?

I like it but I am trying to make htose dice still, I know it will look alot better once I do, I have the dice image in my mind but I can't draw it right :(

Yea it's looking a lot better - I still think your main logo text needs some work though - tis a bit plain :)

i agree, maybe even something like enlarging it a bit.

GRRR i've been trying to make a small dice for like 3 hours, I JUST CAN'T DO IT!

I wanna make one like 15x15 pixels to the left of the volvi, i've tried tried tracing a real dice, I want it to look pixely. Does anyone know where I can go to get pixel art or how to make pixel art?

I have recently bought a Graphics pad, Intuos 2 by Wacom, but I can't seem to draw with it, there goes 1.5k down the drain...
