Adding additional, secure registration information

Hi gang,

Does anyone know of a way to add additional fields to the user registration form/control panel/database that can be viewed only by the user, admins, and mods? I'd really appreciate any help you guys can offer. Thanks!

Does anybody have an answer on this? This is one of two things holding up the launch of our board and I'd really like to get it squared away.
