Mirc and java links - How??
 

I have noticed on a few forums that they have links to mirc and java chat.

when you click on mirc text it launches the mirc software and takes you to there chatroom, what coding do i need to do this, can anyone help.

the text Mirc and java launch their respective links, like jave is chat.html, but how do they get the mirc text to launch the mirc software and connect them to your chat room??

Im guessing they just make the MIRC and JAVA words links to their respective chat application

i was just woundering as i went on a forum and have never been on there chatroom before i clicked mirc and it started my mirc software but launched in there chatroom which i had not set up, was just woundering if anyone knows what i have to put in (code etc) to do this as it might help get a few more members into my chatroom

Enter our irc channel using : <b><a href="irc://your chatroom providers url/your chatroom's name">mIRC</a></b> or <b><a href="chat.php" target="_blank">java applet</a></b><br><br>

this is how it looks - placed in stats section

Enter our irc channel using : mIRC or java applet

and clicking on Mirc launches your mirc software and connects you to the chatrooms channel, same with java chat if installed.
