Templates :)

First a small note, How comes the link to vbulletintemplates.com on the forum main page, is not described as an official vbulletin site even though it is?

And as most, regular, vbulletin people are aware, that site is slowly dying mainly because some people are not aware it exists. How about vbulletin.org sending out some mass emails about the site to promote it? Surely that cant do no harm?

And i know this has been said before, but i cant understand how we have a template section still but has just been renamed to PHP / MySQL / JS / HTML

Fair enough it is a support section, but people still ask template questions there, i myself have even asked template questions, was just wondering if something could be done to stop template questions beein asked??

Thanks for any reply :)

welcome to our world ^^
if there would be a simple and freindly way, just tell us.
For now we just can close those threads and tell the authors to ask at vbt.

As for the official: it is mentioned on our network, so that means it's official.
vb-g and vb.com are even more official, as the staffmembers there are paid for there support ;)

Cheers for clearing that up Xenon. I guess it is difficult stopping people asking template questions, just gets kind of annoying when vbulletintemplates.com is pretty much dead because people ask here instead, i dunno its just me moaning :)

just a guess.. but i would say they ask because it's easier finding this place than it is vbt.. not to mention, getting "permission" over there is sometimes as fast as the seasons changing..

also, because it's a pain in the ass having to figure out every little vbulletin site nuance.. such as who has templates.. where can those questions be asked.. why things are so seperated..

personally, i am a member there, allowed to dl and things like that, but the site looks teh suck.. and is not as functional as some other vb sites.. personally, i like coming to one place for one product and finding the answers i am looking for.. that's not to say i deter fan sites or otherwise.. quite the opposite.. but for any formal support, it's a pain in the ass coming here for support and being told to go elsewhere..

I must admit you have to wait about a week for an answer over at www.vbulletintemplates.com

A taskforce should be setup :P To get it back on track, I remember in the vb 2 days vbt was very lively and I got response within hours, sometimes minutes.

i think vbt will get more activity if more user go over there.
The new staff is active, but it's not the staff who is responsible for answereing template questions.
it's a users helping users board like here as well

That's mainly because vBT didn't have the licence system intergrated into it. Most of the users were probably pirates, when the licene system came, only a few hundred members verified (and could) their account to gain access to the forums.

If there would be staff there comitted to helping people without creating the impression that they should be the only one to help out it would probably catch.

ok lets put it to the test

i have asked 2 times on here for help and not got a reply so will do same on vbull.com and see if they help.

Also reason i dont use the other site even though im verified is cause i like vb.org and wish someone would have the brains to put it all on one board instead of splitting it all about.
