Threads close after X days

....can anyone help me get this one worked out?

Just like a poll can be configured to close after X days, I would like to have the option to have threads do the same.

I know zelaron has this hack for there site. After x amount of days you will get an error saying that this thread as expired. That stoped thread diggers completly! it would be nice to see someone release this,
