I just casually came across this link - i'm downloading it now - looks like it might be helpful :)

Cool, although at some point you are going to have to learn regexps whether you want to or not.

They don't seem to be used that often in other languages (other than Perl), though. Strange because while yes, they are very messy to read, they are also extremely powerful and can save a lot of coding.

I know - i do understand then - it's just learning all the phrases and such :) This doesn't as such generate them for you but helps explain them and test them :)
