New MySQL installation password
I reinstalled my apache, php, mysql. Now, when I change the default username from "root" to "marik" it's ok. But when I change the empty password '' in the mysqladmin config file to "ok", nothing works. Reinstalled twice, nothing ever changed. It's was ok with the old php and mysql version, what has been changed and what shoudl I do?

A good tool to use for MySQL access is MySQL Control Center.
First, make sure in your bin\WinMySQLAdmin.exe, that the password in my.ini is what you wanted. Then install the MySQL Control Center, enter the valid information, and everything should be good. |
