I'd very much appreciate if this hack, existing for vb2.x, could be upgraded to work with vb3:
Who might this new user be

We've used this hack while we were using vB2 with great results - I think we were able to avoid roughly every multiple registration with it.

Now that we've moved to vB3 RC4 we have no further control if there are users who register for a second time.
