Forum Stats IN header

1 Attachment(s)
I've searched all over for something to help me with this but havent been able to find anything.

What I need is a a hack that will allow the forum stats (posts, threads, total members, and newest member) to show up in the header.

I've included a pic of how I need it.

We're finishing up and testing a Forum stats hack that uses the datastore to cache the information that might work for what you want. Putting it in the header will mean queries running on every page, though. Do you really want that?

Hmmmm ... Unless you just unserialize for the header info and have it only update the stats in the fourm themselves. Then you might be able to pull it off having it in the header and not running any queries. ;)

If you using vB2 there was a template release over at www.vbulletintemplates.com which showed you how to do that

Boofo 02-14-2004 11:17 AM

How many queries did it add? ;)

MindTrix 02-14-2004 11:21 AM

I dunno, dont care either :) Was just saying there was a guide over there for it thats all.

Boofo 02-14-2004 11:21 AM

thank you sooooooo much for posting the link, VBT was the first place I looked but I kept searching for "Stats in Header", and other similar combinations.
