Resize IMG for VB3

Hi all,

could someone please create a resize IMG hack also for VB3? I mean, an hack that would do:

- If a user inserts a too wide external image, the image will be fully downloaded, but resized to a smaller size (no real thumbnail creation, which wouldn't be that easy to do with external files). Then, it might be cool to have a link displayed to the full image.
- If the IMG is within a certain width, it shouyld just print it within the thread.

Please!

How about someone making it so the profilepic is a thumbnail if it is too large?

Thics hack works pretty good. But when I click on a username, then get public profile, I get the following error:

Parse error: parse error, expecting `')'' in /home/site/htdocs/forums/includes/functions_bbcodeparse.php(1000) : regexp code on line 1

Fatal error: Failed evaluating code: handle_bbcode_img_match(,'http://www.freepixhosting.com/uploadedfiles/f8effbfb.jpg.orig[1].jpg') in /home/site/htdocs/forums/includes/functions_bbcodeparse.php on line 1000

Any ideas?

This would be very useful.

The above error also occurs when images are contained in PM's.

If this could be fixed or this code excluded from PM's or profiles, then it would be hack of the month for sure......

What's even more astonishing is that the vB team spent years on this stupid threaded posting and other useless crap, but overlooked the most basic functionality.......

I had to remove it because it also causes errors in posts.

I would find a similar hack very useful for uploaded images.
