Downloads problems... help!
 

Here's my problem. I only want users that are logged into my forum to be able to download attachments. Seems easy, but the files are located on another server (obviously with another URL).

As it stands now, a user can login, find the URL, and pass it around to other people. I want everyone to be a memeber to acccess the download.

if the files are on another server, that's not possible.
you should store them into vb's DB to really make sure noone can download them if you don't want it.

I don't want to store it in the forums server, there isn't enough bandwidth for the forums and the downloads on the server.

I think I figured out how to do it. I should be able to limit it by checking the referrer.
