multiple forums sharing same database

is there a way to run multiple forums but sharing one database. for example if I have web sites carforum.com, dogforum.com, etc. When the visitor go to carforum, they will see only category about car. If go to dogforum, only dog-related categories will be shown.

the reason of this is because i want my member to access multiples forum with single login and single member list.

The easiest thing to do is to link to subforums or something but I don't think there is a released hack that allows sharing one database. Also you HAVE to have more then one license to run more then one copy of vbulletin.

if its all the same forums and just differnt categorys its perfectly legal, im aware of how it can be done, it just takes some effort to do it correctly

well, what i'm trying to do is to have only one big forum. when my member type in carforum.com, then it go to a customize page that show car category, car forum logo, car ad, etc. and the same thing with dogforum.com.

It could work this ways, when my member type carforum.com, i redirect them to mainforum.com/forums/carforum/index.php, and same thing with dogforum.
