Members spamming porn.
 

Not sure if this has been brought to attention yet, but I noticed it while searching for a member.

It's not direct spam, but if you take a look at the memberlist, the first page has a bunch of non-posting users and their websites linking to porn sites.

Who knows how many more pages of users are doing this. An admin should go through and clean these zero-post junkies.

the "!!!username" thing is quite well known - it gets them, and their sites (usually porn, sometimes insurance and other crap spam type links) on the first page of the memberlists.

thx, i deleted a group of them and disabled showing homepagelinks on memberlist :)

Nah in all honesty thats disgusting. I mean the first person on the member list's website is a incest one.

Admins/mods need to jump on this straight away ;)

Put up a ban on usernames that have !, !!, !!!, !!!!.... ect in them.

there are also licensed users having a ! in them, so we cannot ban them straight away..

Well, this is what yaXay just did, maybe you should look into doing somethign similar:


Simply delete the dead accounts and rename the !! active accounts

Hmm i personally think Faranth's suggestion would be best suited at the moment.

well, no new members will be able to register with those names ;)

also i do some cleanups from time to time, there is such a nice way in ACP ;)
