Buying A VB license Then What!?

Im going to be buying my vbulletein board and i would like to know what would be some mandatory hacks to install right off the bat.. such as indexers and what not. and vb lite please tell me more thanks.

well it depends on yourself.

normally there aren't much hacks to install, especially if you start with vb3, most hacks are already included :)
if you start with vb2, the quick reply is leet ;)

Alright Cool thanks admin so no index hacks are needed for vb3?

No hacks are needed for any installation of vB, period. Only install hacks that your board absolutely needs, which, in most cases, are none.

index hacks aren't needed in vb3, as it comes with it's own archive system, and also does a better way for urls ;)

Yes there is one for IPB -> vB3/2 conversions

Actually the official import script is for vB2 only. The ones for vB3 are still being developed. For now you can import to vB 2.3.4, then upgrade to vB3.

so wait, if i pay for 2.3.4 is the upgrade to vb3 free or will i be paying more?

I went through this about a month ago when I was upgrading my forum to VB. If you buy a license you get access to the members area where you can download 2.3.4 and also VB3. You'll need to install 2.3.4 then run the converter and then run the upgrade script to VB3. So no, you wont be paying more, but you will have plenty of work to do! :-)
