User created forums
 

Awhile back, there was a thread about a hack to allow users to creat their own forums, etc...

I can't seem to find that thread again, and it was about vb2 anyway... which doesn't apply to me anymore :)

Is there a current working or plans for a vb3 hack that will allow users of a certain group to create their own forums? I realize that there are a number of issues (and possibly even ethics) to contend with on a hack of that magintude, but that doesn't mean they are insurmountable.

If this is absolutely something no one is working on, I am willing to do the work myself (and release it) - but I don't want to duplicate effort. I've released hacks in the past for both UBB and later VB and support is a real pain in the ass... with a hack like this, I'd think support would be even worse than my previous hacks... so I'd like to leave that to someone else.

Can anyone point me in a useful direction, or should I start prepping for the project once vb3 is final?

That is the original thread. If you see the last post you will see production has aparantly started on the vB3 version.
